Wayland Industries Holding congratulates sponsored driver Erwin Montfoort, driver and co-owner of Montfoort Motorsports, on a strong result in Berghem. Competing in the DD2 Masters category this season, he currently sits second in the championship with three rounds to go.
At Round 4 of the United Karting Series, Montfoort qualified third in class in tricky wet conditions, then claimed his first class win of the season in Heat 2. Forced to start the final from 17th overall after an earlier incident, he fought back through a chaotic race to finish second in the Masters category — his best result of the season.
Erwin Montfoort is a Dutch karting driver competing in the DD2 Masters category — the top class of the Rotax Max Challenge for experienced drivers. As driver and co-owner of Montfoort Motorsports, he combines the roles of competitor and team builder, bringing both passion and professionalism to every round.
"After a third-place finish earlier this year, I've finally stepped onto the second step of the podium. With three races to go, we're now looking ahead to Kerpen, my favorite circuit, where we'll once again be aiming for victory."
